Marche du temps profond

The Deep Time Walk is a tool to help you get to grips with abstract numbers (notably millions of years), and feel deep time in your body as you walk, at the heart of the adventure of living things. A collective experience, sensory and sensitive, instructive and poetic at the same time. It provides a scientific understanding of the evolution of life on Earth over 4.6 billion years.
As you walk along the path, each metre represents a million years. The walk covers 4.6 km (6.6 km in total), from the formation of the solar system to the present day, including the formation of the moon, oceans and atmosphere, the appearance of life, the first cells, plants and animals, mass extinctions and the renewal of life.
Open to all aged 12 and over.
Rdv at the intersection of ch de rodas and rte de la chatelle.
