Porous country, peasant territory
In twelve thousand years, agriculture has gone from being a founding invention to a marginalized activity. Faced with this decline and the threat it poses to food sovereignty and our ties to the land, the artist has made peasantry the focus of her practice. Her works bear witness to a living, intertwined territory, where peasant women, by anchoring themselves to the soil, become an integral part of it.
